About Me & The Platform
Hey! I'm Iván González Berasategui, a Platform Engineer based in Madrid. Currently, I'm building and operating cloud platforms at Axpo Group.
I've been working with Microsoft Azure for over 6 years now, breathing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and living by the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF). My goal? Robust, secure, and scalable platforms that don't wake me up at 3 AM.
🚀 What's this blog about?
This space is all about Platform Engineering and DevOps. I created this blog to share what I learn day-to-day—the wins, the "oops" moments, and the cool tech stack that makes our lives easier. No gatekeeping here, just practical insights for fellow engineers.
🛠️ My Tech Stack
I spend most of my time with these tools:
- Cloud: Azure (AKS, Azure Monitor, Security Center, Azure Migrate), Cloudflare
- IaC: Terraform, Terraform Cloud, Spacelift
- Scripting: PowerShell, Python
- DevOps: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, PagerDuty
- Core: Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, Windows Server
Before diving deep into the cloud, I started my journey as a SysAdmin managing VMware, Hyper-V, and SCCM for big players like evolutio, BT, and Capgemini. That background gave me a solid appreciation for what happens "under the hood" of the modern cloud.
Feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn if you want to chat about cloud architecture, platform engineering, or why DNS is always the problem.
Thanks for dropping by!
